Forum 2000 in Prague: Participants Call for Release of Cuban Political Prisoners

The Prague List

La Lista de Praga

The Prague list contains 307 names of current Cuban political prisoners. This is not a complete accounting, but it is the most exhaustive list available. In this list you will find Cubans from across the spectrum of society, among them 25 journalists, five medical doctors, two dentists and one attorney, all arrested for their human rights and pro-democracy activism. History has demonstrated that one cannot remain silent in the face of such injustices without catastrophic

results. The full and unconditional release of all Cuban political prisoners, at a minimum all the individuals identified on this list, would demonstrate a first step to a commitment to improve things in Cuba.

Forum 2000 in Prague: Participants Call for Release of Venezuelan Political Prisoners

October 15, 2009

"The complete and unconditional release of all Venezuelan political prisoners would demonstrate a first step to improve things in Venezuela, where democracy is threatened, especially as regards the respect for human rights. We ask for a Christmas without political prisoners in Venezuela."
